WILDERNESS MINISTRY IS TO SERVE THE HOMELESS AND THE POOR WITH THE LOVE OF THE LORD, RESTORE THE SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, AND HEAL THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PAINS AND WOUNDS THEY SUFFER. FURTHERMORE, IT IS A MINISTRY ESTABLISHED THROUGH THE TRUE DISCIPLES OF THE LORD.

WILDERNESS WORSHIP
Through the holy worship, praise, words, prayer, and service, we elevate our friends on the street as true disciples of Christ. We also provide them the weekly necessities. Lastly, we invite local churches, and brothers and sisters in Christ to serve our friends on the streets.
THURSDAY WILDNERNESS OUTREACH
“Bringing up the Faith of the Homeless”
Every Thursday, from 6:30 PM to 10PM, in McPhearson Square DC, we reach out to our friends on the street. Through praise, prayer, word, and counsel, we encourage our homeless family and serve them so they can live their lives in strong faith. We also check their needs on a weekly basis and supply daily necessities. Lastly, we provide opportunities for the youth of our community from the local churches to serve them.
WILDERNESS PRAYER GATHERING
On the last Friday of every month, from 6:00 PM to midnight, we gather at Prayer House in Fredrick in Maryland, to pray for our homeless friends. Through the mountain prayer meeting, we teach members how to pray and let them experience the power of Holy Spirit and become warriors of prayer. During this gathering, we conduct special praise and worship. We share special lectures and testimonies on prayer. We invite the warriors of prayer from local churches to pray together and experience the power of prayer.
WILDNERNESS RETREAT
Through Wilderness ministry, we invite the members who have decided to become followers of Christ to have 4-days of retreat in the beautiful nature, without having to worry about where to sleep, what to eat, and what to wear, at least temporarily. They can praise the Lord, pray, and spend their time with the Lord. During this precious time, the members recommit their lives to Christ.
Friends in the wilderness worship come to the Thursday meeting, and most of them participate in the retreat. Through participation in each process for a certain period of time, you will have a basic relationship and trust and become a regular participant and co-worker by yourself. It is very natural to expect leadership from regular participants of Thursday meetings and retreats. They have maintained relationships with others who come and go, so they will be able to effectively act as leaders among them when specific common issues arise. However, they need more specific and continuous training INFLUENCE OR IMPRESS. And we also need environmental help to build up a sense of responsibility as a leader. In such an environment, through leadership self-discovery/confirmation and in-depth training, I hope that the homeless recovering will even take care of other homeless people.
“Rebuilding the Life of the Homeless”
Above all, Wilderness Ministry is homeless program that provides service to those in need. Those who need recovery from drug and/or alcohol abuse, depression, and other mental illnesses are served in this ministry. Those who need food, laundry, and occupation also find themselves help here. We provide many opportunities for rebuilding the life of the homeless by introducing them to different career fields.
MOBILE DEVICE REPAIR
We teach homeless people how to repair smart phone devices to help them become independent. Cross Wilderness Ministry accepts donation of smartphones to be fixed. The homeless people, through repair training and workshop, would become smartphone technicians. They can repair and sell the donated phones through the ministry. Doing so can help the homeless to jump back into the job market and perhaps go back to the society.
